Krislyn Mulargia and newborn in the garden

About Me

Hi, I’m Krislyn Mulargia. Mom of 4, lover of nature, and lifelong birth enthusiast! I am a certified Childbirth Educator, certified Lactation Educator and a trained and experienced Postpartum Doula. I live in SW Washington and offer postpartum doula services and private childbirth classes designed to help parents feel informed, confident, and supported.

My passion for babies and birth began early. At 13 I witnessed a birth and knew I wanted to work in the birthing world. While my career path evolved over time, it always centered around supporting infants and new families. During my college studies, I learned about Doula work, and immediately knew I had found my calling.

After receiving my master’s degree in public health, I completed trainings in birth and postpartum doula work, childbirth education, and lactation education.

Over the last decade I have welcomed 4 children of my own. My personal birth experiences include delivering twins, having a hospital waterbirth with my oldest daughter, and welcoming my youngest daughter at home. These varied birth experiences have given me a deep appreciation for the many ways birth can unfold—and a profound respect for the physical and emotional journey of postpartum recovery.

Parenting, homeschooling, and birth work take up a majority of my time, but I also love to garden, be out in nature, craft, and take care of our pets.

My Approach

As an educator I strive to make our learning environment and my presence a safe place for clients. I welcome all walks of life and truly enjoy making connections with new parents. It fills me with joy to be able to share the thing that I care so deeply about with others. In my private childbirth classes, I offer to tailor the space for each of my clients, including using gender neutral language when applicable. I believe information and support are key to having a positive birth experience.

As a doula, it is my upmost important role to help new parents feel seen, heard, validated, and secure in their role of parenthood. It is a privilege to be able to walk beside so many families as they navigate the postpartum period and offer my support, knowledge and compassion. Birth is the miracle of life that weaves each one of us together. Holding space for people as they process their birth journey, learn how to connect with their baby, and gain needed nourishment and rest is the best job in the world.
